Grieving the Loss of a Pet – Is time the only thing…

That can help with the pain of the death of a pet?

I can speak from my own personal experience as I just lost my 12 year old chocolate lab and yes time did help but I had some additional help that made this process much more peaceful.

The first thing that help me was to understand what I had lost, healthy grief versus unhealthy grief is a major factor in moving on quicker when it comes to grieving. Our pets our special creatures nothing can replace their unconditional love, this is somewhat true but until I truly understood that the love he provided was still available to me.

Transforming my bad memories into joyful memories also opened up a whole new experience that I would not have believed unless I experienced myself. You see a friend told me during the early stage of the grieving that my memories of my dog would go from painful to joyful. This is what happened and what got me to that was the use of guided meditations and some powerful mind techniques.

The mind is a powerful too and unless we train it to deal with the grieve in a manner that will transform our painful memories into joyful memories, I do not how long I would felt hurt, alone and isolated.

Grieving the loss of a pet does not have to be long and lengthy with the proper tool you can gracefully grieve and soon enjoy the wonderful gifts that your pet has provided in the form of memories.

I hope you found this post helpful, I wish you a happy recovery.
