Edgar A. Guest (1881-1959) Poet Laureate of Michigan, became know as “The Peoples Poet.”
He wrote folksy, optimistic poetry about everyday things and his work became very popular. Many of his poems are inspirational and continue to be enjoyed and quoted today.
