Do pick up lines really work?
If, like me, you have been out of the dating pool for some time getting back in is a bit more scary than simply getting your toes wet to feel the temperature. I far prefer the total submersion where there is no going back.
However this is fraught with danger in the dating pool but to be honest what have you got to lose?
Using pick up lines is simply part of the art of flirting and I have found the best pick up lines come when I am being myself. If I come across as trying to pick someone up I am sure I look and act like an idiot.
Whilst I know a lot of guys who are good at using dirty pick up lines I am not personally comfortable with this approach. I think there is a knack to knowing which women to approach with this technique.
There are of course some great pick up lines which will work more often than not. The more you play in the pool the more proficient you will become with these. I have found that trying to pick up dates is a lot of fun and as long as I do not expect to score every time I am happy, in fact the more relaxed I am the more succesful I seem to be. It really isn’t that difficult.
Along the line I have also discoverd that there are a lot of really bad pick up lines. After a while you realize that the ladies have heard them all, the sleazy ones, the corny ones and the plain old pathetic ones. Don’t ue them guys - you are simply wasting your time.
I found that the best way to learn which pick up lines work is to simply ask women what they would prefer as a means to men approaching them. After all there is nothing better than a bit of research and development. In fact I have found that by asking this simple question in a sincere and hones manner leads to more than a 50% chance of a date with the girl you ask!
