Many Americans are feeling the pain of high gas prices. It is getting to the point where people are realizing that they have to make a change because nobody else is going to help them ease the burden of high gas prices. The problem is that many people just do not know how to stop using so much gasoline.

Most people don’t know this yet but there are alternatives to gasoline. An example of an alternative is biodiesel. Biodiesel is one of an alternative that has gained popularity since the gas price hike.

What is Biodiesel?

Biodiesel is an alternative fuel source that is made from common ingredients that are safe, renewable and clean. Biodiesel can be made on both large and small scales. You can even make your own biodiesel at home.

How is Biodiesel Created?

The main ingredients are alcohol, lye and water. They are then mixed together and allowed to settle and then the biodiesel is separated from the bi-product, glycerin, and can be used in any diesel running engine.

So is Biodiesel Better Than Gasoline?

There are many reasons why biodiesel is better than gasoline. Here are the main reasons why biodiesel is the answer to high gas prices:

-Easily made. It is so easy that you can even make it at home.

-Safe. Not only it is easy to make biodiesel, it is also safe to be made at home. You do not need to worry that it will explode, unlike gasoline.

-It is safe for the environment, too. Biodiesel burns much cleaner than gasoline. It also does not have harmful bi-products. In fact, glycerin, the bi-product of biodiesel, is used in soap products. The bi-product is actually useful.

-Cheaper. Wouldn’t you be saving a lot of money making your own biodiesel at home? I bet you would.

-The ingredients that make biodiesel are renewable and thus it will never run out.

As you can see, biodiesel is a great alternative to gasoline. You will find a vast amount of information on how to make biodiesel and how to use it in your vehicle. If you are tired of paying high prices on gas than you really should consider the switch to biodiesel.
