When it comes down to the need to avoid dangerous household toxins, ask yourself this: Are any cosmetic companies warning consumers of the presence of carcinogens in their products? Absolutely not! – What’s more appalling is that despite the fact that several common cosmetic ingredients or their contaminants are carcinogenic themselves, the chemical manufacturers are in no hurry to warn consumers.
So how can we avoid dangerous household toxins? Do you think government regulation is the answer? Well, think about this: the substances that are found in most body gels, shaving gells, cosmetics, soaps, shampoos,and moisturizers date back to 1937-38! It was during this time that the first laws were origionated on consumer products.
So basically, there have been on substancial change in the regulation of the use of toxic chemicals in household products in over 71 years! Unbelievable!
Government and industry have failed horribly to protect consumer health properly; at the very least, they have failed to inform consumers fully of the hazardous ingredients used in household products, cosmetics and foods. So more government is not the answer!
So the point is this: If people are to avoid dangerous household toxins, they’re going to have to educate themselves in order to protect their health. If you don’t do it, nobody else will!
